Miscellaneous Applications
In our services, we specialize in the installation of epoxy and urethane sealers, as well as curing compounds, penetrating sealers, and film forming sealers.
Penetrating sealers are designed to penetrate into the concrete and masonry due to their small molecular size. This allows them to act as a water repellant. However, it is important to note that these sealers can only be applied to surfaces after membrane forming sealers and most curing compounds have been removed.
Film forming sealers do not penetrate the surface due to their larger molecular size. These sealers are typically applied in a thickness of 1-5 mils. Curing compounds, on the other hand, are used to aid in the curing process of concrete. Once the concrete has cured, these compounds act as sealers and dust proofers.
Epoxy sealers are known for their ability to form a film and provide excellent adhesion to concrete. In some cases, shotblasting may be required before applying epoxy sealers. These sealers are available in various colors and can be either water-based or solvent-based.
Urethane sealers, on the other hand, are known for their excellent gloss retention and abrasion resistance. While most urethane sealers are used as a top coat for epoxies, some can be applied directly to concrete. Similar to epoxy sealers, urethane sealers are available in both water-based and solvent-based forms.
Overall, our range of sealers and compounds offer a comprehensive solution for protecting and enhancing concrete surfaces. Whether it's for water repellency, adhesion, gloss retention, or abrasion resistance, we have the right sealer for your needs.
